An Oasis of relexation immersed in the nature of the Monferrato Hills

Amidst the green hills of Monferrato, a gate opens, as if by magic, onto a long and beautiful avenue, shaded by ancient horse chestnut trees. Villa Carolina is located in the centre of a centuries-old park, located between the villages of Capriata d'Orba and Castelletto d'Orba, that has preserved its romantic charm and the magical colours of nature for over two hundred years. The Golf Club, founded in 1991, has had two 18-hole courses since 2015, both championship courses.

La Marchesa

The “La Marchesa” course was designed by Cornish & Silva Inc. Golfcourse Architects USA and is set against the scenic backdrop of lush green forests and the swift moving Albedosa stream. It has 18 holes, a total length of 6,161 metres and par 72. The course lies in a level area with plenty of space.

Holes 10, 11 and 12 form the “Amen Corner” of the course, which test players’ concentration and leave little room for error.

Paradiso Course

The Paradiso Course was designed by the architect Graham Cooke. The first 9 holes were inaugurated in 2006, while work on the next 9 holes was completed in 2014, which placed Villa Carolina among one of the few clubs in Italy with two 18-hole Championship Courses for a total of 36 holes. The Paradiso is a highly technical course which requires great precision. The course differs from the La Marchesa Course because it is rougher and the greens are more treacherous. The Paradiso Course was the venue for the 40th PGAI CHAMPIONSHIP from 20 to 23 September 2016 and the prestigious XIV Fondazione Vialli e Mauro Golf Cup event in aid of ALS research..

The Resort

An exclusive 64 room resort has been built as part of a project to expand the Villa Carolina Golf Club designed to meet every need and comfort, amidst the greenery and surrounding nature of the Paradiso Course. In addition to 36 amazing greens, the club has two tennis courts, a summer swimming pool, a bar and restaurant and a gym and wellness centre.
