Im Paradies Kärntens wie das Lavanttal auch wegen seiner Schönheit und Obstreichtum genannt wird dreht sich alles um drei Dinge: Obst, Most und seit einigen Jahren schon auch um Golf. Das 9-Loch-Kleinod zählt zu den feineren Adressen für Nine-Hole-Kursen.

Auf Wolfsbergs Spielbahnen einen Driver auf die Runde mitzunehmen ist nicht notwendig. Die 9 Holes sind so konzipiert dass ein 3er Holz ausreichend ist. Unterschätzen sie aber auf keinen Fall diese Golfanlage. Obwohl die Greens einiger Par vom Tee 3 zum Greifen nahe erscheinen ist hier nix mit zurücklehnen, und defensiven Spiel. Dies hat hier schon so manchen sein Score vermasselt. Auch dem Schreiber dieser Zeilen sind schon die Haare zu Berge gestanden. Speziell auf dem Eröffnungsloch. Ein kniffeliges Par4 mit beinahe einem 40 Grad Dogleg bei dem man zuerst die Driving Range überschlagen sollte um danach das klitzekleine Grün zu treffen. Hier Par zu spielen war für mich immer ein Wunschgedanke. Und die restlichen Löcher? Leicht hügelig bergauf und bergab sind sie recht trickreich mit einigen Löchern die einem auch noch im Schlaf verfolgen. Wenn Sie Meister des kurzen Spiels werden wollen sollte Sie hier unbedingt einige Runden drehen. Erfreulich auch dass man hier nach bezahlen des Greenfees die Range Bälle Gratis dazu bekommt. Ins Golfstammbuch geschrieben: Vergessen Sie die Mär, dass ein 9-Loch-Platz leicht zum Handhaben ist. Bodenständig und dabei sehr gut ist auch die Küche des Clubrestaurants.

A tricky par 4 with almost a 40 degree dogleg where you first have to roll over the driving range and then hit the tiny green. Playing par here was always a dream come true for me. And the remaining holes? Slightly hilly uphill and downhill, they are quite tricky with some holes that will haunt you even in your sleep. If you want to become a master of the short game, you should definitely play a few rounds here. It's also great that you get the range balls for free after paying the green fee. Written in the golfing logbook: Forget the myth that a 9-hole course is easy to handle. The cuisine in the club restaurant is also down-to-earth and very good.
